Cupuri and I. Identical twins but not the same person

Cupuri and I are identical twins, the concept of identical twins refers to one single fertilized egg that split on two identical embryos ,so the word identical does not refers to the appearance of the twins, it refers to the embryos. One rule of my father is to not compare or contras each other because we are different person, but right now, let us break my father’s rules ,and lets make an exception and  contrast each other mentioning some differences between us as; physical appearance, psychological characteristics, and also social environment.

Something funny about being a twin is that people always ask us the same type of question; also they ask us to stand close to contrast us. They do not notice or differences because

At first sight we seem to be identical.We have certain facial features, that change us a lot as: my nose is shorter, her lips are thinner, my eyes are bigger, her lashes are longer, my teeth are more crooked and bigger, I have square jaw, and she has face. Other differences are in the shape of our body: her waist is smaller, her bottom is bigger and my breasts are bigger. The last physical appearance to contrast is the hair; she changes regularly the color of her hair, she always does her hair and I always use hair down. We could find more differences but these are the most significant, but here do not finish the contrast between my sister and I.

“Who is the evil twin? And who is the good twin?” these question is other typical question that people ask us, this is hard to answer because to stereotype a person in an evil person or in a good person is difficult. Also if a twin person is evil this does not mean that the other twin has to be strictly good because; there are psychological characteristics that made twins different for example: Cupuri has a tough personality, she is explosive, when you really met her, she is a protective and loyal person besides this she is a responsible committed person and responsible. On the other hand; I have a soft personality, I am patient, it is easy to me to trust in people but I never let down my loved ones, but I am really lazy and absent minded.  So I could said that she is not evil nor good neither do I.

Other typical question is “ do you switch boyfriends? Or have your ever pretend to be your sister?” –“Really”- I sometimes think that people do this questions just to be nice or funny, but come on years and years of hearing this it is not funny anymore –“hehehe”- . if I had to give a quickly answer to this would be “no” , this have an explanation. Cupuri and I have different social environment in which we develop ourselves, for example; we are in the same classroom at the university, and we do not really talk to each other at the university. This because we have different likes for example the people whom we like to be surrounded or the things in which we are interested. Basically or social environment changes even being in the same place, because of  our likes and interests, so it would be different to pretend being my sister or change my boyfriend with my sister.

Until here, we have mentioned some questions that help to contrast our physical appearance, our psychological characteristics and also our social environment. We seem to be too different, in fact; we are but this does not mean that we do not get along, on the contrary; those differences complement us, and make us best friends.

With this we arrive to the last typical question” do you like to be a twin?”  I usually say yes I like it, but the true is that I don’t like to be a twin, actually I love to be a twin, she is a full-time friend and I really glad to have her as a sister. “The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend”.  ~Cali Rae Turner

Many people think that all homeless dogs are ugly and mutt. This happens because people do not give themselves the opportunity to meet the dogs of the kennels or dog shelters; they just follow the stereotype of homeless dogs. But actually this is a misunderstanding because thousands of dogs are abandoned by their owners every year and the vast majority of these dogs are dogs in good conditions and also cute.

Despite the fact that Homeless dogs of kennels or doghouses are mostly dogs abandoned; many people think that those dogs have serious sickness that can be spread to the adopter family. What they ignored is the fact that as we say before these dogs are abandoned so they are family dogs; also they ignored the fact that it would be a problem to have many sick dogs in kennel or dog shelters; all the dogs in these places are vaccinated, so you will get a healthy dog and also save money.

Also there are other people that argue that it is better to buy a puppy in a puppy mills because you can choose a specific puppy; this can be denial just saying that the characteristics that we have to take account are not just in physical appearance also in our own necessities, and homeless dogs have a wide range of abilities that people ignored. In the other hand if you adopted a dog instead of buying one you won’t be supporting puppy mills. Most of displaces have in impoverished conditions they just focus on physical appearance.

In fewer words to adopt a dog have a lot of advantages as you will save a life, you will get a healthy dog, you will save money, you would choose a dog base on your necessities not on their physical appearance, and you won’t be supporting puppy mills. Iguassi a Jungle in Brazil

Who does not remember Tarzan the movie? The history of a child that had to live in the jungle, but do you remember the awesome places that this movie shows? Are they real?. Is there a jungle as magic as in the movies? Well there is Brazil a jungle much better as in the movies because Brazil’s Jungle is real. This jungle is called Iguassu ant it is playground of many people, because of this magnificent nature overviews, comfortable hotel an exotic delicious food.

You might be asking yourself if this natural beauty is real or where it is, in order to get in to this jungle, it is a quite difficult, because it lies on the border of Argentina and Brazil. You can enter from Buenos Aires, that its 1:30 hours of travel by plane or 10 hr by car, and arrive to a city call Puerto Iguazu; as well as you, can enter from Rio de Janeiro, that is the same distance and time, but you would arrive to Foz do Iguaçu a city located in Brazil. From foz de Iguaçu and Puerto Iguazu it is absolutely easy to get in the jungle. The whole trip takes much time, but is it really worth enough?

"Look in to nature, and then you will understand everything better”(Einstein) There are trees and water everywhere Iguassu´s waterfalls are the most incredibly attraction. There are 275 falls in an are of 1.5 miles but the most marvelous waterfall is “La Garganta del Diablo” in English “devil’s Throat”, t is 269 feet (82m) height, 492.1 feet(150m) wide and 2,296 feet (700m ) long, when you are in these falls it is amazing because you can hear he mater falling also you can fell the spray water in your face, a little bit thicker than a fresh breeze, it would be worthiness were if you were blind because the sensation that this mammounth water fall transmits is sensational. When you are hiking through the jungle. You can watch animals everywhere form thousands of butterflies to monkeys and coatis (exotic raccoon or koala).The weather is subtropical always warm and humid. But Iguassu goes beyond wild life; it is a perfect fusion between comfort and wildness.

Sheraton Iguassu Resor and Spa is the luxury side of the jungle, it is a privileged hotel in the middle of the jungle because it is the unique hotel in the zone, and it is located just in front of the “devil’s troat” but brightly the owners of the hotel designed this convenient hotel perfectly to the jungle, because it fits exactly with Iguassu. The bedrooms have giant and smooth beds where you can be lay and looking through the tremendous windows. The exquisite overview, where toucans and monkeys are the most common view, is jus incredible. The swimming pool is another amazing place in this extravagant hotel, because. It looks as in the pool were merged with the fall waters, it looks endless. In the border of the pool there are monkeys cavorting around, that’s why the hotel and the jungle fit perfect. The restaurant is another stunning place in the hotel because when you enter you would smell exquisite and delicious tropical flavors form delicious Brazilian steaks to exotic fruits as maracuaya (Brazilian grenade). The taste of these food are delightful, the chef is wise. The wild jungle and the glamorous hotel are the perfect match.

There are thousand and thousand of reasons to visit Iguassu. Until here we have a briedf trip into the jungle and in to the hotel, but Iguassu has more reason as all the activities, their people tc. Until here we know how peasant would be to take a photograph of the Devil’s Throat, how long takes to enter up there. Also we have a wider idea of the feeling of being in touch with nature; all the things that the jungle offers you. Iguassu is an example of the greatness of the Mother Nature; it is also a proof that comfort and wildness are not against each other, that the existence of one it is not the elimination of the other, them respect the balance of nature and urbanization.

My Life

There are lots of story, but when it’s time to talk about two people it is easier to talk about someone else than about ourselves sometimes because we don’t really know who we are. I am pretty lost about I am, but I  know that tomorrow I will be the result of what I am today, so to understand what I am and what I am  going to be, it’s necessary to talk about what I was.

My life began at a hospital in Mexico City in January 31^st well that is what my birth certificate says, but I was not born alone. I was born with Cupuri my twin sister and up to now my best friend.  She covers an essential part of my life even my name has something related with her. My complete name is Iyari Portal Santillán; it is not the typical name neither Cupuri is, but my father chose them because when we born he used to say that Cupuri and I were his heart and his soul; my name means soul and Cupuri means heart, but my father was not alone he was marriage with my mom Martha and they already had my older sisters Nelli and Itzel. We were a happy or that is what I thought. Fundaments are the basis of fun, so what about something deeper of my past?

Child hood probably had been my happiest times. I just would like to know this before “Every story has an end. But in life, every ending is just a new beginning” Uptown Girls (2003). Because i thought that I had had not problems at all that everything was perfect,  my family and I moved to Aguascalientes when I was 11 months old, when I grew up and entered to elementary school among my activities were: swimming, practicing gymnastics, playing the piano, and  playing basket ball, obviously not at the same time, the people that . Until this time I still had been thinking that my life was ok. On the other hand during my adolescence my dad, Itzel Cupuri and I moved of house because my parents split it of. This time of my life had been the most chaotic part of my life, I felt like in a roller coaster. I have no regrets about what I was or what I did, so who I am now?

Right now I am a 20 year-old young adult that is studying the B.A. on English Language Teaching, I live with my father and my sister Cupuri, we finally find and home here in Aguascalientes, but let’s talk about the rest of my family my oldest sisters got married; Nelli got married Ricardo he is from Monterrey and he moved to Aguascalientes to could live close to my sister, they have 4 years of marriage; Itzel got married Joab Almanza they dated each other like 7 years, they are the happiest couple that I have ever met they have 3 years of marriage. My mother has a private elementary school and she is the strongest and the most unpredictable person that I have met .other important person right now in my family is my boyfriend, his name is Dalton he makes every moment more especial in my life. All of these, all my live have be motivated by goal and objectives, so what does life mean to me?

Probably , I am not really sure what I really want, there are people that if we change our necessities, interesting and objectives tend to change, but I think that what is essential will never change,  what is  essential to me is; happiness and love. But to reach them I have to have long-term goals and short-term goals. Among my long-term goals are; to age with dignity, to have a family and to enjoy what I will do.  To reach this long-term I sat some short-term goals as to fish my major and then to do what I love” to teach”. I am going to get a dignity job to support my future and I am going to do this whereas I will be surrounding by my family and my boyfriend.

So this is my life and it’s probably not perfect but is my life. What I really have learnt about my life is that there are good and bad moments that there is not happiness without sadness, and over anything result never comes before the word effort, so I am decided to fight hard enough to achieve all my dreams. Re-thinking about my life and who I am make me think that I am pround about what I am, and now I  have to continue  living my life and striving as much as I can to one they be what I want to.
